Na initiële IV-therapie, idealiter gedurende 1 week, overleg met arts-microbioloog en/of internist-infectioloog voor switch naar oraal regime. Totale behandelduur 12 weken.
Als prothese/kunstmateriaal geheel is verwijderd behandel dan 6 weken conform: osteomyelitis acuta - Pseudomonas spp.
