Metronidazol po 500mg 3dd 5 days

General comments

  • Meestal is behandeling met metronidazol effectief (± 90 %). Bij recidiverende klachten, verwijzen naar specialist voor aanvullend behandeladvies.
  • Asymptomatisch dragerschap komt voor. In de Nederlandse situatie heeft het de voorkeur om asymptomatisch dragerschap te behandelen. In gezinssituaties kan dit aanhoudende transmissie doorkruisen. Tevens voorkomt dit microschade van het darmepitheel.
