Notes GFR general:
Nefroprotectieve maatregelen: voor elke cidovofir-infusie prehydreren met 1½L NaCl 0.9% in 1½h, daarna nog eens 500 ml NaCl 0.9% gelijktijdig met de cidofovir-infusie in laten inlopen.
Voor en na elke cidovofir toediening tevens probenecid voorschrijven: 2 gram per os 3 uur voor en 1 gram per os 2 uur en 8 uur (in totaal 4 gram) na cidofovir toediening.

Renal function-replacement therapy
CAPD: 0,5 mg/kg/dosis, zonder probenecid
Hemo dialysis: Standaard inductie of onderhoudsdosis; 2 uur vóór hemodialyse, zonder probenecid
CAV / VVHD: 1x per week 3-4 mg/kg gedurende 2 weken Vervolgens: 1x per twee weken 3-4 mg/kg
