General comments
Risicogroepen zijn:
- Mannen: huidige advies geldt alleen voor mannen < 40 jaar. Mannen > 40 jaar: altijd gecompliceerde urineweginfectie: zie hoofdstuk prostatitis
- Zwangeren: Let op: voor zwangeren is er een apart hoofdstuk
- Patienten met diabetes mellitus
- Patienten met afwijkingen aan nieren of urinewegen
- Patienten met een verblijfskatheter: voor urineweginfecties bij verblijfskatheter (catheter à demeure) is een apart hoofdstuk. Alleen behandelen bij symptomen (infectie vs. kolonisatie)
